Course Description
In WebTrends for Technical Professionals I: Essentials you will learn how to configure and implement the base functionality provided in WebTrends Analytics 8.1. This class is designed for technical professionals who are responsible for configuring the WebTrends features to produce the reports required by business users and other WebTrends end users in the organization.
Through the use of demonstrations, hands-on exercises and lecture you will learn how to configure profiles, filters, templates and other base functionality required to provide a foundation level of reporting. WebTrends SmartSource Data Collection (SDC) is used as the primary approach for data collection. Because the SDC technology is applicable to both software and On Demand, exercises and demonstrations are provided for both environments.
An overview of the SDC JavaScript tag and the WebTrends query parameters is included to provide a general understanding of SDC data collection; however, this is not intended as detailed SDC tagging instructions for web developers.
